TENNIS

PILATES, YOGA & MELT

After years of careful preparation and anticipation, we are ecstatic to introduce our newest and most exciting venture:

 THE

Tennis Signature retreat

I am Patrik Kuehnen, a 3-time Davis Cup champion, Wimbledon Quarterfinalist and former German Davis Cup Captain. Join me and my Team for the transformative
Tennis Signature Retreat that will not only refine your tennis techniques on court but also enhance your physical well-being and mental resilience through a holistic approach incorporating Pilates, Yoga, and the MELT method.

Tennis challenges both your body and mind, demanding more than just fundamental gameplay for peak performance. Comprehensive conditioning and strategic recovery are essential, which is why our retreat incorporates a specialized mix of Pilates, Yoga, and MELT:

  • Pilates strengthens your core and improves overall joint stability, which is crucial for powerful and effective tennis strokes.
  • Yoga will increase your flexibility and joint mobility, essential for fluid movements and preventing injuries.
  • The MELT Method enhances neuro-fascial integrity and functionality, helping your body maintain balance and repair itself after rigorous activity.

This week-long retreat is set in one of the world’s most picturesque locations and provides an ideal backdrop for both intensive training and profound personal growth. I will personally guide you through advanced tennis drills and strategic play designed to maximize your potential. Alongside me, our expert instructors will deliver tailored coaching that nurtures your game physically and mentally, aiming for a holistic enhancement of your performance.

We are here not just to teach you how to play better tennis, but also to equip you with practices that improve your quality of life, both on and off the court. This balanced approach will help you maintain high performance, manage the physical demands of tennis, and equip you with the tools to play better, work smarter, and live healthier!

What proficiency level is recommended for participating in the tennis retreat?

Our tennis retreat is tailored for recreational players with a solid foundation in tennis. Participants should be beyond the beginner stage and have a steady level of play. If you're comfortable with the fundamentals of tennis and looking to refine your skills in a supportive environment, our retreat is perfect for you. We welcome players who are eager to learn, improve, and enjoy friendly competition with like-minded enthusiasts.

What is Pilates?

Pilates, created in the 1920s by Joseph Pilates, has evolved into a sophisticated training method over the span of a century. It encompasses a diverse range of exercises conducted on mats, with or without additional small equipment, as well as on larger apparatus. These exercises are designed to assist individuals in achieving and maintaining muscular balance and strength, enhancing flexibility and mobility, and addressing or ameliorating postural dysfunctions. Pilates offers a modern and comprehensive approach to physical fitness, promoting effectiveness, safety, and efficiency in achieving these goals. It can greatly benefit a tennis player by enhancing core strength and overall stability, improving mobility, and correcting posture, thus aiding performance and reducing the risk of injury on the court.

We strongly recommend participating in all activities offered, as they are designed to introduce new strategies and equip you with additional tools to elevate and sustain your tennis skills. However, we respect your autonomy. If you find that certain activities don't align with your preferences or if you simply need rest, participation is entirely optional and entirely up to you.

What is MELT?

MELT is a gentle self-care technique that enhances autonomic body-wide stability, joint mobility and stability, and performance and is clinically proven to reduce chronic pain while restoring overall well-being.
The MELT method is based on neuro-fascial science to fight fascial dehydration in all bodily tissue.
It is not stretching, not rolling on hard balls or rollers and it is not exercising.
